Presenting Kenley staff blogger that is new
It absolutely was simply over two years ago that I started as an Assistant Director of Admission at USC. Wow, just what a journey it has been! I work with students from a variety of areas: Utah, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Kansas City, and parts of Orange County and San Diego (phew!). We have bright red hair, and the fiery personality to match, so I am always complete of energy or more for any adventure. We love to travel, explore the out-of-doors, bake anything with chocolate (lots from it!), and you can find me dancing if you have a positive tune. I will be thrilled to be joining the blogging team and can not wait to share a few of my insights and knowledge about the admission procedure and college life.
I grew up in Utah and lived in the many stunning mountains in the globe. I spent quite a little bit of time checking out them, but got sick and tired of the winters that are lengthy which is why I was eager to attend school in sunny Southern Ca. We went to Claremont McKenna university where I learned International Relations and Psychology.
We adored my college experience. I really enjoyed it, and that’s why I enjoy working in advanced schooling, specifically helping students find an institution that is a fit that is good. It is extremely easy to talk to potential students about USC since it is this kind of great destination to live and learn. We have always been lucky working on such a dynamic, energy-filled campus. Our pupils are thinkers, educational options are plentiful, and we’re located in a community that is urban one of the biggest metropolitan areas in the world. I can not wait to share more about the USC experience plus the admission process in my own posts to come!

‘ Our suitcases that are battered piled on the sidewalk again; we had https://casinopokies777.com/royalvegas-casino/ much longer approaches to go. But no matter, the road is life.’ Jack Kerouac
Currently, this blog is being written by me sitting inside a Peet’s Coffee in Northern California. Table for one, headphones in ears, answering emails and logging down notes about my highschool visits from earlier today. For the in a few days and a half, I will be staying in hotel rooms and having meals on my own. Usually, there is time and energy to explore the populous cities I visit to ensure that’s nice. But most of this right time, the road can be tiring so I spend the majority of my time resting whenever you can. It is very simple to get unwell in the road!
For about 8 weeks of the year, 1000s of admission representatives all around the nation live this life style. From the outside perspective, it seems very glamorous. In many ways, it is just a really job that is fun. It really is truly rewarding to have the ability to simply help pupils in one of the very most transitional phases in their lives. It is also good having the ability to be away from the workplace. However, this right section of the work can be isolating as well. It makes me appreciate my buddies, wife and family right back at home much more.
Still, our mission is what is on the forefront. USC visits over 2,000 schools each year; we visit the most high schools out of any university in the country. We have been out here in search of students that will constitute the next incoming class of freshmen at USC. It is our goal to put together a class that is exceptionally diverse year so we wish to meet various types of students. I am honored doing my tiny part in this process. It brings me a sense of satisfaction to function for the university that aligns with my vision that is own for.
